Blandtown, one of Atlanta’s historic neighborhoods, has undergone significant transformation. Originally a residential area home to many African American families, it evolved by establishing industries and businesses. The neighborhood was significantly affected by a 1928 fire and later rezoning for industrial use in the 1950s. Recently, Blandtown has experienced a resurgence with new housing developments and a strong community spirit. It’s known for its diversity and urban feel, with a mix of restaurants, coffee shops, and parks.
