Whetstone Creek Trail

The Whetstone Creek Trail in Atlanta is a greenway trail spanning 1.99 miles. It’s a rails-to-trails project, meaning it was developed from an old railway spur previously used by a Chlorine train servicing a water treatment plant. The trail connects Marietta Road to Bolton Road and includes a spur to Adams Street near Bolton Academy. The boardwalk along the trail offers a unique walking experience, particularly appreciated by those seeking a more immersive natural setting within the urban environment.

Whetstone Creek Trail is set to become part of the Centennial Olympic Park to Silver Comet connection in the coming years, further enhancing its connectivity and significance in the area. Additionally, the trail is near the Whetstone Wetlands, offering an opportunity to explore local natural habitats.
